Pineda De Mar

"Fun in the sun" provided by Cloud 9 Entertainment's, it should have been called "Fun in the Storm " Yes that's right, the weather was terrible! we only had one day of sunshine, the rest of the time we had storms, they say it was the worst weather they had had since the dinosaurs died out! And I believe them. The only day that the sun decided to pay us a visit was on Keith's birthday! Draw your own conclusions. The hotel was situated right on the sea front, we only had a piece of road, a railway line and the deserted beach between us and the sea. But don't go thinking that we had a miserable week because that is far from the truth, once again the entertainment was what it was all about, non stop music and laughter all the way. We had a great nights from "the Virgins" "Ed Pearson" "Whiskey under the bridge" "Pedro" "John West" "Country Contrast" and myself with Cliff "the record putter onner" Stevens providing the music for the dancers. When I wasn't performing I was either Compering or causing chaos at the bar. For Keith's birthday we decided to have a fancy dress party and you wouldn't believe some of the sights and of course I kept my opinions to myself as I am not the type to say anything ! anyway take a look at the pictures and judge for yourselves, and if you think that you are senile enough or that you have the minimum supply of little grey cells to fit in, then why not join us next year in Salou? In the meantime enjoy your visit to my memories of an insane week in Pineda with my adopted family.

Has anybody seen the sun ?

Carol
I think it's up there in France !

The fountain in the centre of Pineda Square

The trains are a cheap and handy way of getting up and down the coast

The Railway station at Pineda, this crossing was the only way on to the beach because of the floods.

All the underpasses were closed due to floods, I thought the rain in Spain stayed on the plains not under the trains !!!!!!

I think it's a bit rough for a boat trip

Well at least the Virgins have arrived !
